Looking for ways to save on gift cards? There are usually ways to get around paying full price for them. Also, keep in mind they don’t have to be just for gifts either. If you know you have a purchase coming up, buying gift cards at discount is a great way to save on upcoming purchases. Check out these ways to save!
Warehouse clubs are a great way to save on gift cards! Sam’s, Costco and BJ’s all offer discounts on select gift cards. As an example, if you want to save on your pets, Sam’s has (4) $25 gift cards for $79.98, making for a $20 discount! If you’re traveling soon, both Sam’s and Costco have a Southwest Airlines $500 eGift card for $449.99, making for a $50 savings.
Be sure to check out gift card sites like Raise.com. You can buy and sell gift cards on Raise, while save an average of 30%. Choose from several types of gift card. Raise currently has a New Member Special where you can earn 15% off all discounted gift card with code 15PERCENT. Another hint is that you can create a Raise account to get alerts anytime a Raise gift card for a brand that matches your desired discount becomes available.
Many brands offer gift card bonus offers. As an example, Adidas recently offered a a $10 bonus reward instantly when you buy a $50 gift card. Restaurants will often offer bonuses similar to this as well when you purchase one of their gift cards.
Use mobile apps like Ibotta, Fetch etc. and earn them! With Ibotta or Fetch, you can get cash back from your receipts in the form of gift cards. Scan your receipts and get cash back based on the offers at that time.
Several grocery stores including Kroger offer Fuel Points with gift card purchases often earning 2x or 4x fuel points. As an example, if you loaded a 4x fuel points digital coupon to your Kroger Plus card and then spent $250 on gift cards, you would get 1,000 fuel points which are worth $1 off per gallon on up to 35 gallons. This would make for a $35 savings on gas. You wouldn’t be saving on the actual gift card but a nice savings on gas for buying those gift card!
Digital coupons can also help you save on gift cards so you can load those to your store cards too.
Amazon – Amazon offers Gold Box deals on gift cards. If you have a Prime membership, that can sometimes give you advance access before the deal goes live.

We love to have homemade potato wedges if we’re having burgers, black bean patties, or sandwiches!
This oven-baked potato wedges recipe is easy, doesn’t require a deep fryer, and the seasonings can be easily switched up to your preferences.
Ingredients
- 2-3 russet potatoes (we prefer them peeled, but you can scrub them clean and leave the peelings on, too)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Cut the potatoes into wedges (cut them in half lengthwise, then place the flat side down and cut lengthwise again; keep going until you get wedge shapes).
- Place the potato wedges in a large mixing bowl along with the oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper and toss until everything is combined.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and spread the wedges out in a single layer.
- Bake 35-40 minutes or until the wedges are tender and golden brown.
