For everyone that had great plans to give Chocolate for Christmas gifts, Christy at Southern Plate has come to our rescue.  She has a great Frugal Recipe to make “Holly Jollies“.  Total for all these gifts is probably under $10-$15 for most of us couponers!  What makes it even better, she made all of this in about half an hour!!

If you want just the quick recipe scroll all the way to the bottom of her post.

Now Christy…  what’s with the house brands??

      fannymay

If you ordered from Fannie May yesterday you need to check your bank statements.  Normally when companies get overrun with orders like this just cancel them, not a big deal for any of us and we move on.

Fannie May has taken the illegal approach however and has removed the coupon code from many orders and is charging a larger, unauthorized amount.  There are a few things that you can do:

      1. File a report with your credit card for false billing (you should have your email confirmation showing the $7-$10 charge amount.)
      2. Call Fannie May and cancel your order and they will refund the money.

For questions concerning an on-line shopping order: Call 1(800)333-3629 or email
      customerservice@fanniemay.com

You can take it one step further if you like.

      1. File a report with your local Better Business Bureau.
      2. File a report with your State Consumer Affairs office.

I am excited to announce a new feature for Southern Savers!

We now have a Tutorials page with short video clips to help you learn the basics of Grocery Savings.  This page will be growing through the upcoming weeks with more basic and advanced information.

I get so many emails from folks that are overwhelmed about where to start.  My hope is that these videos can help to hold your hand as you figure out a new way of grocery shopping.

As you see family and friends over the holiday’s, these can also help you to teach them that you aren’t crazy!

            Target: Manufacturer Coupons

            target-logo

Target recently overhauled their coupon printing page.  They created software that limits your print to 2 per computer and they also added many coupons that are not Target coupons, but instead manufacturer coupons!!

(If you were wondering about the new print limits I have no doubt it was to be able to make these manufacturer coupons instead of store coupons.  Manufacturer’s don’t get to happy with unlimited coupons being released)

The one downside to their new system is that you are not able to tell what is a store coupon or a manufacturer coupon until you print it.  To help…

Here are the coupons that are manufacturer coupons.  This means they can be used anywhere!!

.50/1 Argo Corn Starch (exp 1/7)
.75/2 Barilla Plus Multigrain Pasta (exp 1/16)
            $1/3 Bush’s Best Baked Beans,16 oz. cans (exp 12/21)
$1 off Disney or Marvel Spider-Man Multivitamin (exp 1/16)
$1 off EAS Myoplex 4 pack shake strength formula. (exp 1/16)
            $3 off Flexamin (exp 1/16)
            $3/3 Glucerna products (exp 1/16)
$1/3 Hot Pockets or Lean Pockets (exp 1/16)
$1.50 off Huggies jumbo pk, or larger. (exp 1/16)
$1 off Kleenex bundle pack (exp 1/16)
$3 off Osteo Bi-Flex Caplet item (exp 1/16)
$1.50 off Pedialyte product, any (exp 1/16)
$1.50 off Pediasure product, any (exp 1/16)
            $1 off Quilted Northern 12 pack + (exp 1/16)
$1 off Uncle Ben’s 2lb Brown or 14 oz instant brown rices (exp 1/16)
$1/3 Uncle Ben’s Long Grain and Wild Rice products (exp 1/16)
$1/4 Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice Products (exp 1/16)
            $1/2 ZonePerfect multi-packs (exp 1/16)

Remember if your Publix accepts competitor coupons, these listed above are not competitor coupons, so they can’t be stacked with other coupons.  If your store does not accept Target coupons, they should accept these without any problems!

Thanks to Couponing to Disney, she printed the entire list of coupons to figure this out.

              mall-coupon-books

CBL Malls throughout the country have free holiday coupon books that you can use for stores in your local mall.  You can pick these up throughout the mall, or you can print most of them online!

To get to the online coupons for your mall:

              1. Go here to find a mall near you, click on your mall.
              2. Click on the red box that will pop up at the top of the page.
              3. On the left side click on “Holiday Coupon Book”

While you are there check out the Events page for your mall.  You might find some great free activities coming up!  I was surfing through various malls to learn that a mall in Chattanooga TN will be having a Grand Opening of a new Earth Fare soon!!  Horray for you guys with all their great coupons!!

              (thanks Angie!)
