Yay! I’m so glad! My Publix got rid of their upromise tags shortly after I started couponing. This will be a nice perk.

    • Katie

what are they linking it to since Publix does not have a “store card”?

      • Becky A

I’m assuming they will either do scan tags or phone numbers like they have for ecoupons.

      • Saving Star allows you to upload a picture of your receipt for various stores to their site or the app. This will work through that system probably.

Target does not have a store card either but uses saving star. All you do is take a photo of your receipt like all the other apps like Snap and Checkout 51. They might do it like that.

    • Hokiesave

The sound you hear is millions of Publix shoppers rejoicing. :-)

Publix does have a store card. I have one. It’s an Upromise card. I hope that will work as I do not have/can’t afford a smart phone.

I don’t have a smart phone either. When I shop at stores that don’t have a loyalty card but honor savings star, I use a cheap scanner/printer to scan a picture of my receipt and upload it at the saving star website. Very easy, no smart phone needed and I usually get credited overnight.

      • Saving Star allows you to upload a picture of your receipt for various
stores to their website so you don’t have to get a smart phone. Their app will work with a tablet though if you have a cheap tablet that works on wifi you could do that too.

Publix doesn’t have a store card. Upromise is saving money for college.

    • Alyson

Just a side note about Upromise; you don’t have to use the money for college savings. I opted for a cash payout and got the same amount I had saved in my account turned into a check for over $100 sent to me that I can use right now, instead of 10 years down the road.

I was about to say the same thing until I saw your post. My sister told me about the option to cash out. I was like what! I’ve done it before and of course it worked just fine to cash out.

    • CaYaCoup

What if you already have your card connected to Upromise? Does one credit over the other? Can you use both?

      • Linda Fassnacht

I contacted SavingStar on FB and they said it would not affect UPromise. Not sure how it could not, I would assume you will either choose one or the other at checkout, depending on which has the better rebate that day, ie-UP doesn’t do the weekend only offers. And UP can also be used at other places, I have made more through their dining program than with groceries.

    • YoAdrienne

Yay!!! I was wondering when they would join up. Thanks for the great news, Jenny!

Unfortunately you can’t get an Amazon payout anymore. :(
