Stacking offers from a variety of sources is one of the best ways to maximize your savings. Don’t forget you can add Upromise cash back and eCoupons to your tool belt! On top of that, Publix and Upromise are running a two part promotion from 10/8-10/21/09 that could save you even more. (Every little bit helps right!)

For new members: You will receive a $10 deposit to your account using promotional code 10PX when you sign up here. Just ask for a Upromise key tag next time you’re at Publix and link it to your new account.

For all members: You will earn double contributions on purchases of the brands shown below. Many of these items are already on sale.  Don’t forget to load this month’s eCoupons for even more savings!

A complete list of all participating brands and their contributions can be found here.

So you can use eCoupons at Publix if you have a Upromise card?

      • Upromise ecoupons are electronically activated to your card and when you purchase the item, your upromise account is credited (takes a few weeks). It doesn’t take money off at the register, but money is money I guess :)

    • Amber

I am confused. Do I need to have a upromise card for every store I use the ecoupons at? Mine says Publix but I haven’t done anything with the card itself. I did sign up using the above info. Help please!

      • Hi Amber – You should be able to register all of your store loyalty cards in you Upromise account including the publix one you picked up. Then you just use them like you normally would and the cash back will be credited when you purchase participating items.

        • Amber

(Hi Jenny!) Ok- so let me make sure I have this right. Let’s say I want to sign up at bi-lo…I need to get a different upromise card for bi-lo? Then when I use these ecoupons with that particular card, that money will go into the online account. So the stores have to be participates int he upromise program in order for the ecoupons to work? Thanks in advance!

          • Dianna

I just found the place on upromise where you actually enter the #’s from your store cards- like for me i had bi-lo, cvs, piggly wiggly & food lion. i entered it all & it is sending infor for verification.

            • Dianna

Amber, Did you see where to enter your store cards? I am just wondering also about the eCoupons! I guess you select the coupon you want & they are uploaded to your upromise key tag. Is this your understanding? Do we get these from the grocery store?

          • Amber you login to Upromise, input your Bi-Lo bonus card # and any other store card numbers you want to link (Food Lion, CVS, Kroger) to your account and you will not need any additional cards. Your Bi-Lo bonuscard IS your Bi-lo upromise card. Once you’ve linked it you just use the bonus card like you normally would and you get credit each time you buy a brand on the list.

            • Amber

Ok- that helps. So because Publix doesn’t have a bonus card system…you have to have a separate card? Thanks for clearing that up!

            • Amber-Exactly!

Dianna -As far as the ecoupons – You electronically activate them on your card the first day of each month and if you purchase one of the items during the month, your account will be credited for the amount of the coupon.

I love this system because it allows you to save that little bit more than what you are already getting with paper coupons and the cashiers can’t give you a hard time about it! :)

    • Becky

I clicked on the link for new members sign up and nothing there.

    • Dianna

Hey, I am confused too. Is upromise a credit card????? I am looking at this web site that I just signed up for & am not following the info. HELP. I like the idea of saving for college (have 1 & 3 yr old) we have a while to save but starting now is the thing to do. I just dont like the idea of a credit card, I thought it was like a bonus card or ECB card ?! Help please, anyone who is using this svc!

      • Jenny

It’s not a credit card (they offer one but you don’t need it to save). You load your shopper card numbers for various stores into their system and any other card numbers you already use and then they credit your account when you buy participating products.

        • Dianna

Thank you Jenny!! I have entered my store cards. Just a question for you … Did you enter your debit card. It shows all the places that give % back. I am a little scared to do it but it looks like the $$$ would add up faster that way!

          • MonaLisa

we added our debit cards to the account. I think my husband said it works when you use it as credit. We have Chase cards that we already use as credit for the chase rewards so I like the thought of saving even more. we are using it to pay off my husbands loan while he is in school.

    • Dianna

ok also I just registered & now dont see where to enter the cose for the $10.00 joining bonus. I am so challenged with stuff like this! :)

      • Dianna

        • Dianna, you enter it when you sign up. On the same page you fill out your name etc there is a box that says

          Tell us more
          Promotional code (if any):
That’s where you enter the 10PX promo code.

          • Dianna

I accidentally entered it before entering that code did I miss out?

    • Chris

Publix doesn’t have a loyalty card, so they make a special “loyalty-type-card” for the purpose of Upromise. You have to pick one up from any cashier. Details are here: http://www.publix.com/clubs/upromise/Upromise.do

    • Lisa

Ok so here’s a question. I know I can use a publix coupon (exp. huggies) + a manufacturers coupon, can I also use the upromise ecoupon as well??

      • c

yes you need to activate the upromise ecoupon on the upromise website, you also need to have your publix/upromise card added to your upromise account.
…and you need to have the upromise savings card scanned at the register when you shop!

I NEVER remember to have publix scan my upromise card…. *sigh* sometimes I like that they don’t have a “loyalty card” but not when I have a upromise ecoupon to use and forget to have them scan the upromise card :(

      • YES!!! Isn’t that wonderful!

    • Corysmurf

Okay… I signed up and entered the promo code but my account total is $0. Anyone know how long it takes for your account to be credited the $10 bonus?

      • andrea

i’d be curious too. i signed up my husband for it since i’ve only earned 6 cents in mine but haven’t seen the contribution either. it does say you need to go to publix and ask for a card. maybe once you enter in a publix card number????? anyone know?

        • Corysmurf

Now I’ve added a Publix card # and it has been verified. Still no $10 bonus. If this works for anyone else, please let us know how long it takes for the bonus to appear in your account. Thanks!

          • Lisa

U-promise told me to allow 90 days for the credit to post.

    • Ann

Today when I tried to sign up for Upromise, I entered 10XP but it said “The promotion code entered is not valid.”

I think I’ll hold off until I have a working promotion code. Does anyone know of another one?

    • Ann

Darn dyslexia. :) Never mind, I tranposed it. The code should be 10PX, not 10XP. If the moderator catches this, please delete it.

    • DC

Aw, man! I had put off signing up for Upromise because I couldn’t find a code anywhere. Then I realized I had missed lots of $ over the months. So I finally found a $2 code from some product, and had given up hope that Bi-lo or Publix would put out a promotion so I signed up. This was only a couple weeks ago, and NOW they have the promotion. Great timing!!

      • DC

To make matters worse….the last two months of ecoupons were around $60 and $40…just checked and there’s 4 coupons for a total of $3.50 this month. I had checked last week and it was still the same coupons from last month, so I thought they were doing the same ones or just hadn’t updated yet. And now it’s only 4 measly ecoupons!

        • They usually put out the new coupons on the 1st day of the month. Go that day and activate them all. The 4 you are seeing now are IN ADDITION to the ones they put out for Oct. 1, so if you already activated them its a bonus 4. And actually the new 4 are all on products that will be BOGO at Publix next week!

Buy two 12 oz. bags of Wonka Laffy Taffy or Wonka Nerds Grape/Strawberry featuring the UPromise logo, save $1.00 for college
Buy two Everyday Fun Size Nestle Chocolate items featuring the UPromise logo, save $1.00 for college
Buy any 2 Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Pasta, save $1.00 for college
Buy any box of Krusteaz Waffles, Pancakes or French Toast, save $0.50 for college

          There’s always a silver lining :)

    • Katherine

I just signed up yesterday and used the 10PX code, but no $10 credit. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the credit?

      • Lisa

Perhaps 90 days…see my post below.

    • Lisa

I am wondering if one needs to sign up through the http://www.publix.com/upromise link in order to get the $10 credit with the 10PX promo code. I used the link in the Southern Savers post and it took me to a upromise page with a contest promo on it. I signed up and used the code, but no credit shows on my account. The link Jenny provided leads to a different upromise page than when you go to http://www.publix.com/upromise and click “click here to register.” I e-mailed upromise about not receiving the $10 credit and hope for a positive outcome. Here’s the Publix link: http://www.upromise.com/8293.do?sx=groc&bannerId=PUBLIX001B0001&ax=publix1&cm_mmc=Grocery-_-Publix-_-Web-_-publix1

Today, I received this reply from U-promise.

“Thank you for being a member of Upromise. We appreciate the time you
        have taken to contact us.

Your $10 bonus for entering the enrollment promotion code (10PX) will
appear in your Upromise account within 90 calendar days after entering
        the information.”
