Has anyone had problems using the 30% off coupon with deals at CVS. I tried using it with the Neutrogena deal this week but the cashier said it couldn’t be used with that. I was going to try on the Schick items but am not sure if it will work.

The manager can over write it. I had a similar problem with qpon that printed from the red box but the manager was kind enough to over write it.

I had the same thing happen to me on Friday. The register only took 30% off of the regular price item I purchased. The Neutrogena came up as regular price but I guess because it was part of the ECB deal, I did not get 30% off. They must have reset their registers because I have gotten the discount in the past when an item was not on sale but part of an ECB deal.

Yes, this is becoming a larger issue all the time as CVS sends out more and more of these coupons. The way the % coupon works can very depending upon how you obtained it too (i.e., whether via email, snail mail or some other way).
It can make the pre-shopping calculations tricky (which I guess is why Jenny doesn’t walk through these scenarios anymore?) and the check out can require a Phd in math if you have a lot of stuff — makes the CVS computer slow to crawl, maybe even a stall since it has to recalculate with each coupon/ECB you submit. One day I swear i thought I killed it. The key to success is an experienced and friendly cashier.

Yeah I didn’t ask for a manager since it was already going to be free. I would normally though. It’s strange because I was able to use the 30% off this morning on the razor deal and I had more coupons than before. I ended up making about $4 on the deal. So that was great.

I used the 30% off Q today on the Icy Hot Tens kit. The cashier said it would take off the net after coupons and EB’s I was using. It didn’t work that way (to my advantage). It took 30% off the retail price. I used the Tens this evening and it works as well as the ones at physical therapy. I think I may be able to get the full price reimbursed from my Humana insurance so that will be great!

Generally, the 30% off store coupon or 20% off, etc., are good on non-sale priced products. Sometimes, items are not discounted on the price but yield ECB’s, that is when you really “score” b/c you get 30% off, plus ECB’s back, and if you have Manufacturer coupons, well, that is even better!!!
