I don’t know about you, but our December can get a little crazy. With Christmas parties and family get-togethers as well as family activities, knowing what we’re going to have for dinner each night is a lifesaver. And I want to focus on easy, simple dishes that can be put on the table really quickly and easily.

This means I came up with a framework where we have breakfast casseroles and hearty meals on the weekends that will make leftovers, with easier meals like pasta during the week. Then Friday is pizza night! I did leave Christmas Eve and Christmas to your discretion as it’s hard to predict what different families want to do. For us, we’ll probably have finger foods after our church Christmas Eve service and then will make a variety of dishes to share at our family get-together on Christmas.

As always, I’ve got a PDF that you can open on your computer or print out to display in the kitchen. The PDF has links that will take you straight to the recipes!

Monthly Meal Plan: December 2024

I don’t really plan to try many new recipes this month, because I like to stick with what I know in the crazier seasons of life! I’ll be making the stovetop Santa Fe chicken I recently posted as well as my 30-minute chili. But I’ll also be using some of my favorite recipes from around the Internet, like crispy gnocchi with vegetables and sausage stuffed mushrooms for New Year’s Eve.
