How many of you are like me and have wanted a Cracker Barrel rocking chair every time you saw them?

One of our favorite parts of eating at Cracker Barrel is enjoying the Old Country Store rocking chairs on their front porch.

These chairs are great quality and have been made by the same family company for 5 generations.  You can either buy them in the store or get ready-to-assemble chairs online.  The ready-to-assemble chairs are the exact same quality rocker used on Cracker Barrel’s front porch – it just requires some assembly.   Don’t worry all the tools you need are included with the rocker. All rockers are made from knot-free solid hardwood, no fillers and features a signature Cracker Barrel Old Country Store medallion on the back of the chair.  The medallion is a symbol of quality.  If you want to give a Cracker Barrel Rocking chair as a gift, you can ship to yourself or directly to the recipient for free and you can even have it gift wrapped!

I long for a front porch filled rocking chairs overlooking a beautiful picturesque view.  Right now though I have no front porch and the view would be of toys in my front yard and the neighbors driving by.  So I will live vicariously through one of you!!

The Giveaway:

Cracker Barrel will be sending one of their Old Country Store ready-to-assemble rocking chairs to one Southern Savers reader.

weight watchers menu plan, southern savers, lighten up between holidays

After all the Turkey and fixings last week, I am craving some light fresh meals. It can be tough to stay on track with all the holiday feasts going on, so focus on having healthy meal ingredients on hand for the nights that you are home to cook!

Fresh produce can also be harder to find at a discount this time of year. You can mix in what you find on sale, but hopefully you’ve also stocked the freezer with frozen vegetables (or have lots of nice rain checks) to get you through this season.

I know for many of you things are really tight this Christmas. Recently I heard a mom sharing that even getting a tree was an expense they couldn’t handle this year. In spite of all the difficulties I know many of you are still awesome at taking little things and making a household full of decorations and cheer around the holidays.

Home decorating is not my strong suit, but we have found many ways to make our house feel festive for little to no money. Here are a few of my favorites.

          • Take a piece of yarn and tie each end to each side of a curtain rod or nail it to a hidden place above your cabinets. Leave a little slack on the yarn, and then put each Christmas card you receive on the string. Within weeks you will be surrounded by beautiful pictures but also by reminded constantly of the other families thinking of you this year.
          • Make your own Christmas ornaments! Our Christmas tree is probably 80% decorated with homemade crafts made by my girls. For some great cute ideas check out books from the library, we even found some with ideas using recycling items! The pictures above are two that we’ve made. The sand dollar is one of may favorites, we found it on the beach and my husband drew the palm tree on it.
          • Head to local Christmas tree farms and ask if they have any tree trimmings available. Many have a bin that they chunk small branches in and you can take any you like (always ask first). Use these around your house to dress up candles or table centerpieces for FREE!

Now I’d love to know, how do you spread real cheer with your holiday decorating? Please reply below and unwrap coupons and deals from Sears by seeking inspiration in the Cheer Tree. For all your holiday decorating needs and solutions, don’t forget to visit Sears and discover real deals, real cheer!
