Jenny View Comments Comments

I had every intention of not doing this ad until Sunday before I saw the ad.  There are some great deals at Kroger this week!  These deals start Sunday 10/25 in the Southeast Region.  Don’t forget all the deals with Cellfire eCoupon matches.

This is the most complete list I can make it of all the deals that are participating in the Mega Event.  There are over 120 participating items and they are from areas all over the store.  You should have a great week of savings!

shoppinglist1

Remember:

  1. Load your P&G, Shortcuts and Cellfire Coupons before going out. (E coupons information)
  2. You can use a paper coupon with all the above e coupons WHY
  3. You do not have to buy 2 of B1G1 items to get the sale price
  4. Most Kroger stores double coupons that are .50¢ or less

If you are new  read up on what all this means and how to effectively use this list to save the most.

Check your USA Weekend paper. Those nice little $3.00 off Surf Coupons are back. Free Laundry Detergent again this week at Kroger.
  • Irene
Just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU! I have been following your advise and coupon matches and have been saving my family money on groceries in the last month. This past trip to Kroger was my best ever. I did 5 mega deals in one transaction. My total before coupons was $113.14. After coupons and e-coupons my OOP was $17.45. I was amazed. I can't wait to do it again. Thank you so much for your hard work.
  • Whew! Checked next week's ad online and it looks like they're repeating the sale... Had all my coupons and list together then came down with CRUD this week. Will try to get out tomorrow. I lost a few coupons expiring 10/31 but not too bad.
  • Mindy
I'm glad it's going on this week too! My son got sick so I couldn't go. I've been bummed all weekend!
  • Debra
I wasn't going to go to Kroger's, because I have been sick, but it was worth it. I just came home earlier with $39.00 worth of groceries for OOP of only $8.00 and that was a good deal. I got some stuff for free with coupons like the starkist tuna, butter, carnation milk and cookies.
  • Kristen House
Wow! This was my first time shopping the mega event and I am so impressed!! I purchased 49 items for a total of $26.90! I saved $74.73 on my total bill ($21 in coupons, $20 with the mega deal, and 33.73 in plus card savings)- I can't believe it! What a thrill it was to see those dollars peel off one coupon at a time! Thanks to all of you who are helping make these grocery savings possible.

    XOXO,
    K
  • Bridgette
Are all the mega 10 items this week gonna be on sale for the same price next week?
  • Jennifer
Can you stack coupons at Kroger? Also, can you use the Kroger Catalinas with a manufacturers coupon? New to all this and was just wondering. I got 9 of the mega deals last night, saved over 56% on my final total with that and coupons.
  • Kristen House
Jennifer: Did you get your $5 off for the 9 mega deals? I think you have to buy 10 items. I bought 42 today and only got $20 off (instead of $21.00). My dad made a fatal error and bought 39 items, but saved only $15, where he would have saved $20 if he'd bought just one more item (like Chapstick at $0.50).
  • Jennifer
I had 90 items in the mega deals, saving $45 on that. Sorry if I was unclear on that. Was very happy with my shopping trip this week.
  • anton
man what a great week... got 230 dollars worth of groceries for 65 dollars... and will be mailing in the tombstone pizza rebate thing too... when the cashier hit the total button it said i owed 155 still... and then take off 25 for 5 mega deals, still owed 130, meaning i saved 65 dollars in just coupons today...

also the Catalina machine spit out an advertisement for the tombstone pizzas, starting 11-6 buy 6 get 5 dollars off your next purchase... the kroger lady i talked to today said mega deals usually run 2 weeks, so the mega deal will still be going on next week too, meaning the pizzas will end up under a dollar... and if you split the pizzas into two sets of 6, you can get the 10 dollars in Catalina and then 10 dollars off your next bill... so 20 dollars back for spending 24 (minus any actual tombstone coupons you may have, i dont have any :( )
  • Kathy A
Quick question...I still have 5 $2/2 Cheez-it coupons 11.5oz or larger. Will these work for the Cheez-it in the mega deal?

    Thanks!
  • Kathy A
Oops, never mind. Just found the size listed on the list above! I've looked at way to many coupons today!!!
  • kelli
can anyone confirm that the same mega event is going on next week? I know that they usually last 2 weeks.

I've been extremely busy and haven't been able to gather coupons and make it to Kroger yet this week. I'm hoping to maybe make it over there this afternoon or tomorrow but I don't think that's going to happen. I really want to take advantage of these awesome deals!
  • Keep a lookout for Keebler peelies at your store as well. The smaller boxes of cookies are .99 after the mega-event and there are lots of peelies in the stores for $2/2 packs that apply to the smaller packages. Free cookies!!!
  • bridget
Try the snackpicks website - they still have the $1/2 coupons .
  • Amy Hopson
Has anyone had an issue with their Kroger store limiting web coupons to 2 per order? Mine tried to do this yesterday saying that they thought it was coming from corporate. They finally let me use the coupons....and still the manager could give me no straight answer.
  • marina
It all depends on your store. The kroger right next to me does that so I just go to the one 10 min. away and avoid the hassle.
  • Heather
My closest Kroger is not as close as my other grocery stores so I never go there, but this week's deals enticed me enough to go out of my way after work and get the deals. I had all my coupons ready and my Mega 10 all sorted out and ready to go.
Let me tell you, I had a horrible experience. They were out of everything I wanted. I tried aisle after aisle only to find them out of what I wanted. Furthermore, all the other things I wanted that weren't Mega 10, weren't on sale at my Kroger, such as the Hillshire sausages, the Pineapple & the grape tomatoes to name a few.
Finally I scraped together 10 things to get, and then the cash register it didn't take off the $5. By now I had a headache, was exhausted, and was supposed to be home making dinner for my husband. They said the Steamfresh veggies weren't part of the Mega 10. I said yes they were, they say so right on the price tag. They had to go check. Huge hassle later, I left with just my tuna, which I could have gotten free at Target too.
I wish I'd never gone. It wasn't worth the hassle, they were out of everything, and the things I wanted weren't on sale here. I'm sticking to Harris Teeter & Farm Fresh forevermore.
  • Best. List. Ever!! I'm headed out to Kroger tomorrow and you just made my life soooo much easier! Thanks so much!
  • nydia
Does anyone know the zip for the Keebler fudge shop cookies, or is limit reached? Thanks
  • Sonya
    Jenny,
I read where the mega sale is next week. Is that the same items or will it be different?? Thanks for ALL of your Great work.
  • Hsv mom
I am in Huntsville, AL and have not yet done my Kroger trip this week. I was looking at our local ad and it does not list things like Carnation evaporated milk or the tuna. Does anyone know if those offers will still be good here?
  • T
I live in Decatur and the milk and tuna is part of the sale here
  • Shonna
Thanks Jenny so much for your hard work. You have helped me feed my family now for months. I check you site before going to Kroger 2-3 times a week. It is 40 minutes away so I don't want to waste my time searching for the deals. I go prepared.
Has anyone found out if the Mega Event is going on next week also. My Kroger in Morehead, Kentucky didn't know as of yesterday.
  • Jenny
It is continuing again next week :)
  • Janet
Thanks Jenny. Another 10% off on Senior Day next Wednesdy will make the Mega Sale even greater. Grandmama's love to save money too!
  • Shonna
Thank you so much. I am so excited!
  • Kimberly
Okay, I did something really stupid tonight. I realized after I finished checking out that I only had 29 instead of 30 items for the Mega Event. Only $10 off instead of $15. Has anyone ever done this? Did you return to Kroger to try to fix it, i.e. returning items or asking if you could buy one more item? Just curious.
  • Christina
If you have the option of the self-checkout at your store, do that. It shows a little plus sign beside each item that is part of the sale and you can scroll up and down to make sure you count them up. We've been able to run back and grab an extra item quickly if we miscounted and then finish our checkout (especially when there are no lines).
  • Lyn
I have done the same thing and I went straight to the customer service desk and they let me get one more item and gave me the difference.
  • Alyssa
The customer service at my Kroger store is really good about letting you buy one more item if you miscounted for the Mega Sale. Just take in your receipt, show them the item count at the bottom and tell them you miscounted - it's an honest mistake. In my experience, they have told me to go get another participating item and they refund the $5, less the purchase price of that item. Hope this helps!
  • Ashley
There is a coupon for Scotch Nail Saver Sponge on their website.
  • Jenny
I checked earlier this week and it was expired. Has it been updated with a new expiration date?
  • Jennifer
Yes, it has a 12/31 expiration date now. If is for $1/3.
  • meg
Forgot to mention that there was a tearpad coupon on the display with the Frito's -on sale for $1.99 - buy 2, get 1 free - and all 3 items qualified for the Mega Sale!!!
I hade carefully counted my Mega items twice, and the receipt said 51 - it was the "free" chips!
  • Jessica
First I would like to say "Jenny you ROCK". I just discovered your site a few weeks ago after a return trip from FL and needed to restock alot. Did 3 mega deals on Tuesday, but 1 question. I have coupons for the bumble tuna $1/1 but they are for the premium pouches, do they take these on the .39 cent ones? I have to go back today to fix my coffee blunder accidently picked up the only one that was NOT on sale..lol Thanks for all your hard work.
  • kelli
The $1 off Bumble Bee coupons work on the small pouches (I assume these are the ones that are on sale), I bought some a few weeks ago when they were 25 each with the coupon. I wish I'd saved them now.
  • Dena
I thought that the Kraft Food & Family Magazine was free! I just went to sign up and it says that it is $13.98!? Is this the only way to get this mailer now?
  • meg
I got a renewal notice too - but it was for $6.99. I enjoy the recipes and coupons, so the few $ is worth it to me.
  • Jennifer
As of the Summer issue this year, they will no longer offer the magazine free. This makes me so sad. I guess I should have realized it when I didn't get my fall issue this year. I just found my summer issue and there was a notice inside saying it was the last one. Oh well, its not worth $3 an issue.
  • Mandy
Apparantly it's something new, I just recieved my "last free issue" today. Got a bill included in the plastic wrap. I have been getting F&F for over five years and now they are charging. Guess I will be missing the Q's and recipes.
  • Heidi
I get the magazine and have never had to pay for it. I'm not sure if they are going to start charging, I sure hope not!
  • I went today to get a couple of things (before the coupons I ordered online show up) and the store was totally out of a bunch of things ALREADY. I was disappointed and went up to ask the manager when they would be getting things back in stock and he apologized and said they would be back in tomorrow. THEN he offered to make it up to me with a FREE $5 gift card! I LOVE KROGER! I wrote a letter when I got home complimenting him on his customer service skills.

Question- What do you guys do when you know you're going to want a LARGE amount of items? I ordered 20 Krusteaz coupons online and don't want to make multiple trips or wipe out the shelves for other customers. Should I call ahead of time or something?
  • kylie
I had a question about cellfire coupons and the kroger card... i just registered and it asked for my phone number, i put my current number and kroger card number... i don't remember what phone number is associated with my kroger card since i registered for that card along time ago... when i go to kroger and check out will it still take my coupons off my card if the two phone numbers don't match? this is my first time trying it so don't really know?
  • kelli
I don't think that the phone number matters, I'm almost positive I had a completely different number when I got my Kroger card.
  • Carla
Oh...I am SO disappointed!!! I have been (im)patiently waiting for our local Kroger ad to arrive today as our area sale starts on Thursdays. I have been so anxious to go and get some of these mega deals you all have been writing about all week. Looks like we only are getting a fraction of the Mega deal items in the North (Northern Indiana) that you all are getting down south! :( Also, my Kroger will not take internet coupons that when doubled will make an item free! So no free Starkist tuna free for me last week... You all are so fortunate to have so many great grocery store options with great deals. I guess Kroger doesn't feel much competition up North so the deals are not as good.
  • Peggy
There was a standing cardboard display near the entrance at my Kroger that had a checklist of all the Mega Sale items. It was very helpful!!!
  • Janet
Does the list have promotion dates? Is this Mega Sale good through next week?
  • Jenny
Remember, Kroger only advertised 1/4 of their mega items so you probably do have most if not all of these deals. Their ads are horrible at actually telling you whats on sale.
  • Carla
Thanks Kelli and Jenny...I will check it out tomorrow!! Now I have renewed hope of getting some of these great deals!
  • kelli
you probably have more items included in the sale then you think. There are only a handful listed in the ad for my store.
  • Meg
I loved the Mega Sale!! Got 5 sets of B10/G$5 off my order...my total before coupons was $143.77, after savings,40+ coupons and a bunch of ecoupons (that I always load, forget, and enjoy the surprise!), I paid only $28.79, savings of 80% -THANKS SO MUCH JENNY!!!!!!!
  • GG
Mega sales are wonderful............Got $118.00 worth of groceries for $29 dollars and change......also got a catalina for $1.00 off my next purchase........great
  • Marie
My store had the YoPlus included in the MegaSale at $1.49 after sale discount. Pair this with $1 MQ and $1 ShortCuts EQ for $.51 MM :)
  • Erica
Kettle Chips are also on sale and you can use the coupon from a few weeks ago. They were actually part of Tuesday sale so you could get them for $0.50 each which is a steal! They aren't the cheapest of potato chips but they are healthier and more natural.
  • Mary
I got a .75 off Ghiradelli brownies coupon at checkout as well as a $1 off my next order for buying Ghiradelli. With the mega sale price and coupon I used, I scored 2 very cheap brownie mixes. My family's favorite, too.
  • Heidi
Is the Right Guard Sport the spray or stick deodorant?
  • margie
I know this is late in the week, but if you get the home mailers of the Kroger books there are several coupons that will make some items free or less than $.50, after the mega sale and coupons - 2 liter cokes ($2 off wyb 4) makes them about $.50 each; dannon $1 off 4,6, or 8 packs - stackable with other dannon coupons; Kroger doesn't give any overages, I have found out. Made $.50 each on two bumble bee pouches, with coupons and mega event deal.
All total I bought $100 worth of groceries for $41. Too bad I didnt check the mail before going shopping the Kroger home mailer had coupons for $5 off $45; and $6 off $60 - good thru 11/4 and 11/11.
  • GG
How do you get to receive the Kroger mailers that you speak of?
  • Beth An
Pillsbury Grands Jr. biscuits were 76 cents a piece at my Kroger and counted towards the catalina deal. So, with 2 of the 30 cents/2 coupons, 4 of them were $1.84 with a $2 catalina. And I got lucky somehow and a $3 catalina printed off instead. Yay!
  • Teresa
I bought 2 of the playtex gloves @ .50 and used the $1 q, at checkout got a cat q for a $1 off any playtex gloves, so on next Kroger trip used it to get 2 more pairs for free, and received another cat q for a $1 off any playtex gloves, Krogers just keeps giving these away!
    Love the Kroger mega event!
Thanks Jenny for all you do!
  • anne
I got the same $1 catalina, but instead of purchasing 2 new pairs at $49/each to use on the cat, I only bought one pair and used the $.51 overage against my other groceries - and a new $1 cat printed for my next shopping trip:)
    Thanks for the tips!
  • Stephanie
Thank you for letting me know. I was dissapointed when it was not marked. I have some $1 off one coupons so it will be free butter for me!
  • Stephanie
Can anyone verify that the I can't believe it's not butter sticks are included in the mega event? I went today and they were not marked but I am trying to plan my next trip and would like to include these if they are.
  • Julie
They are included. I got some yesterday.
  • AJ
Just noticed a deal that was not really stated. I love lots of yogurt and am not very picky about which one I get.

    Kroger
    YoPlus Price 1.99
Coupon 1.00 off purchase of 1 (Random from web)
eCoupon 1.00 off purchase of 1

FREE plus counts toward your mix and match
  • Lana
Wow, just got done with the list. I hope the trip fulfills my great expectations! Thanks Jenny - you rock!
By the way - has the Ziploc promo ($2 off next trip) been pritning for others?
  • anne
I bought 3 ziplocks today and got the $2 catalina....Cashier took it from the machine and scanned it for me right there and then to reduce my total:) YAY
  • Mary
I didn't get the $2 off next trip coupon for Ziplock bags, either.
  • Cheryl
I bought 9 boxes of various sizes of ziplock bags. I got 3 - $2.00 off of my next trip.

I got $1.50 for three betty crocker fruit snacks and 1.00 for Uncle Ben's rice, as well as 4.00 for Pillsbury. I bought 8 cans of Pillsbury but only received one 4.00 off my next trip.
  • Sheree Harris
Does this work at all Krogers? I am in Ottawa Illinois.
  • gina
THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for this amazing list
  • I found a peelie for $.50/2 gatorades at QuikTrip. This makes for FREE Gatorade at Kroger this week!!!!
  • Jamie
Pepperidge Farm Crackers are part of the Mega even $1.99 (after discount is applied), plus there are $1.00 off printables, AND to make the deal even sweeter, there are peelies on the boxes for $3.99 mail in rebate (they say try me free today)! Enjoy your free (or even possible money maker crackers)!!

With that said , I had an awesome trip to Kroger yesterday! Saved 75%!

Jenny, I had some problems at the register. I am not sure if you have heard a rumor about this or not. Apparently, Kroger is having problems with printable coupon fraud, and may start a new policy?? Only 1 printable per item per purchase. For example: I had multiple printables for the same item ( 3 printables for 3 boxes of platex gloves, and so on). They let me use my mountain of printables yesterday, but it took me longer to check out, then it did to fill my buggy full! If Kroger changes their coupon policy, I will be a Publix only girl from now on...Oh, and my $2.00 off my next purchase for buying 3 ziplocks didn't print either. So, back to Kroger I go today!
  • Cathy
    Jamie (and others who use internet coupons);

I copied this from the cashier handbook at Kroger (this info comes from Atlanta and is official policy for that division). Just how loosely or strongly each store enforces it is anyone's guess.

"We do not accept free item coupons from the internet. We will only accept two (2) internet coupons per manufacturer product per visit per day. We reserve the right to reject any internet coupon that is altered or does not scan properly."

For the catalina cuoupons that are from Bi-Lo or elsewhere, if they say manufacturer coupon they should be accepted. If they are not, just politely ask to speak to a front-end supervisor or manager. One of them should be able to help.
  • jamie
Thank you for that info Cathy! Gosh, I wish that this was being enforced all of the time , or at least stated somewhere . It makes it confusing for us couponers :) I guess it makes sense, as most of the internet q's have a max of 2 prints anyhow ( I just get my hubby to print some, my neighbor, etc when it's something really good :)
  • scott
just came from krogers in southern illinois. had printed my list from your site, only took coupons for those certain products, ( we buy alot of coupons on-line), kept a running total of how many mega items i was buying, (to make sure i ended with incremant of 10 ),ended up with 250 items, ( 25 x 5.00 = 125.00 ). total before mega and coupons, $395.00, total after mega discount and coupons, 55.00, then it spit out the 3.50 cantina for the 5 fruit snacks but then, 1 after another it spit out 15 - $1.00 ones for the 30 boxes of Krusteaz pancake mix i bought. so that was cool. did not expect that. so kroger paid me .33 per box to take them from there store. foodbank in town will like it to. me and wife do this every week. our total annual savings at the bottom of this kroger receipt is now at over 6,300.00 and there is still over 2 months left in year !!!
  • JC
That's fantastic! Great job. It's awesome that you and your wife contribute to your local foodbank.
  • JessC
    WOW! Now that's fun!
