Cheap Thanksgiving Meal Deals 2026: Walmart, Target, Dollar General, Publix & More

Feeding a whole family on Thanksgiving doesn’t have to blow the grocery budget this year. With Thanksgiving falling on Thursday, November 26, the big retailers are already rolling out bundled meal deals, and several of them land between $3.50 and $5 per person! WOW!

Below, we’ve rounded up every store offering a budget-friendly Thanksgiving meal for 2026, from Walmart’s $35 basket that feeds 10 to Target’s $30 dinner for six, plus Aldi, Lidl, Kroger, Winn-Dixie and more. Grab your shopping list and let’s dig in – this is quite involved, but worth your time and your wallet will thank you.

Walmart: $35 Holiday Meal Basket Feeds 10

Walmart’s basket is the best per-person value on our list at just $3.50 a head. For $35 you get 26 items (17 different products) to serve 10 people, and Walmart says it costs 12% less than the same items did last year. The centerpiece is a 10 to 16 lb Butterball turkey at 97¢/lb, the same price as 2025. Make life easier with a Walmart+ Membership.

Here’s what’s in the basket:

  • Butterball Frozen Whole Turkey (10–16 lb)
  • Stove Top Stuffing Mix (2 boxes)
  • Fresh russet potatoes (5 lb) and 3 fresh sweet potatoes
  • Great Value Brown Gravy Mix (2 packets)
  • Great Value green beans and sweet corn (3 cans each)
  • Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup and Great Value French Fried Onions for green bean casserole
  • Fresh cranberries (12 oz) and Jet-Puffed Mini Marshmallows
  • JIFFY Corn Muffin Mix (2 boxes) and Great Value Brown and Serve Rolls (12 ct)
  • Great Value pie crusts, pure pumpkin, evaporated milk and whipped topping for pumpkin pie

The basket is available now through December 24 in stores and online, and you can add the whole thing to your cart in one click. Use code THANKFUL for free Express Delivery on basket orders of $35 or more through November 30. No membership is needed, and there are no purchase limits. Note that pricing excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico and Wisconsin.

Target: $30 Thanksgiving Meal Feeds 6

Target’s meal is back and bigger, now feeding six people for $30 before tax, or about $5 per person. Last year’s version fed four for under $20. The deal runs November 8 through November 29.

The bundle includes nine items:

  • Butterball Premium Whole Young Turkey (frozen, up to 10 lb)
  • Good & Gather Russet Potatoes (3 lb)
  • Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce (14 oz)
  • Del Monte French Style Green Beans (two 14.5 oz cans)
  • Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Good & Gather French Fried Onions
  • Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Turkey
  • Heinz Homestyle Turkey Gravy (12 oz)
  • Favorite Day Take & Bake Baguettes (2 ct)

Dessert isn’t included, but Target has an expanded lineup of $5 sides, pies and appetizers during the same dates. If you’d rather pick your own bird, the Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey is just 79¢/lb this month, compared with 99¢/lb for Butterball. Buy two of these meals with your Target Circle Card and get 5% off plus $50 in Target Circle Rewards.

Aldi: Thanksgiving Meal for 10 Under $39

Aldi’s meal feeds 10 people for under $39, or less than $3.90 per person, with no coupons, loyalty card or membership required. It’s centered around a 16 lb turkey, the biggest bird of any budget meal on this list.

The list also covers stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls, cranberries, peas, carrots, celery, pumpkin pie ingredients, milk and whipping cream. Just look for the turkey logo on shelf tags in stores through November 25. Keep in mind that this is a shopping list, not a pre-packed bundle, so you’ll gather the items yourself.

Dollar General: “Everything But the Turkey” Under $20

Dollar General isn’t selling a full bundle, but it says you can pick up most of the pantry staples and sides for a traditional holiday meal for under $20. Pair that with a sale turkey from another store, and you’ve got a very cheap dinner.

The big deal to know is Spend $15, Save $5 on about 90 select holiday food and baking items, running November 8 through December 24. Qualifying items include Idahoan Mashed Potatoes, Stove Top Stuffing, Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce, Heinz Gravy, Bruce’s Cut Yams, Clover Valley corn and green beans, and Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix.

These sale prices can stack with the Spend $15, Save $5 offer (prices vary through the season):

  • Stove Top Stuffing and Heinz Gravy, mix and match 2 for $4
  • Campbell’s Cream of Chicken or Mushroom Soup, $1
  • Libby’s 100% Pure Pumpkin, $2
  • Jet-Puffed Marshmallows or Crème, 2 for $3
  • Kraft Mac & Cheese 4-pack, 2 for $7
  • Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice, $3.75

There’s also a Save $2 when you spend $6 offer on select Jell-O, Baker’s, Kraft and Jet-Puffed baking items. Browse it all on Dollar General’s Thanksgiving dining guide.

Publix: Fully Cooked Dinners From $69.99

Publix isn’t the cheapest option, but it’s the easiest if you want someone else to do the cooking (this is tempting!). The Fully Cooked Turkey Dinner is $69.99 and serves about 8, which works out to under $9 per person.

More Stores With Cheap Thanksgiving Meals

A few more grocers are getting in on the action, and some of them rival Walmart on price.

Lidl has a Thanksgiving meal for up to 10 people at $35.86 (about $3.59 per person) for Lidl Plus members, November 11 through November 25. It includes a 14 lb turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato and green bean casseroles, mac and cheese, rolls and pumpkin pie ingredients. Just scan the free Lidl Plus app at checkout. See Lidl’s meal deal.

Amazon is offering a $25 Thanksgiving meal with an 8 lb Butterball turkey, sides and pie ingredients, with same-day delivery in more than 2,300 cities through November 26 while supplies last.

Winn-Dixie has a meal for 6 at $38.90, built around a 10 to 14 lb Butterball turkey with stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole fixings, rolls and pumpkin pie. A heat-and-serve option is also available.

Kroger is back with its Freshgiving meal plan, which feeds up to 10 for under $48.50 with turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing and other sides.

Sam’s Club members can order a Member’s Mark prepared spread for just under $160 that feeds up to 16, including a hickory smoked turkey, ham and two pumpkin pies. This alone is worth a Sam’s Club Membership! We’ve gathered a lot of the Holiday Ingredients you’ll need on our Sam’s Storefront.

Tips to Stretch Your Thanksgiving Budget

  • Check what’s already in your pantry. Most of these bundles skip butter, eggs, milk, oil and seasonings, so plan for those.
  • Mix and match stores. Grab a cheap turkey from Walmart or Target, then fill in sides with Dollar General’s Spend $15, Save $5 deal.
  • Buy your turkey early. Frozen turkeys need about one day of thawing in the fridge for every 4 to 5 lbs, so a 16 lb bird needs 3 to 4 days.
  • Watch the dates. Aldi and Lidl wrap up November 25, and Publix orders close November 23.

Whichever store you pick, you can put a full Thanksgiving dinner on the table this year for less than the cost of a fast-food run for the family. With the ever-rising cost of food, these deals are much welcomed in our house!
