Southern Savers: Tutorials

Posted on Nov 24 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

I am excited to announce a new feature for Southern Savers!

We now have a Tutorials page with short video clips to help you learn the basics of Grocery Savings.  This page will be growing through the upcoming weeks with more basic and advanced information.

I get so many emails from folks that are overwhelmed about where to start.  My hope is that these videos can help to hold your hand as you figure out a new way of grocery shopping.

As you see family and friends over the holiday’s, these can also help you to teach them that you aren’t crazy!

Jenny I want to apoligize in advance, I posted my 2009 totals on facebook and had a niece and a friend ask how I did it. I posted your getting started page in a note and then as I was reading down saw your info on it is not to be used any place else. I will not do it in the future but was trying to answer thier questions from many miles away. They both said they were having trouble finding info on site. I have told both of them to call me and I will walk them through the site. Once again I am sorry....

Loved the videos. I have been following your site since July and have saved easily over $1300. It feels nice knowing my family can have a nice meal with out going broke. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing it with others.

I loved the videos! I'm trying to get everyone I know on couponing, so maybe these can convert the unbelievers.

Just watched the videos! Your website is awesome and I THANK YOU so much for all you do! I am bummed to read the above message that said you were in M'boro and I didn't know about it!! :(

I have been coming to your site for about a month now. I recently quit my job to stay home with my baby, and this has helped us tremendously. I am averaging savings at Krogers between 50-60% every week. Thanks for the tutorials...it really puts it all together. THANKS AGAIN!!

All 3 videos are GREAT!! I liked that you touched on "coupon etiquette" with peelie coupons, store competitor coupons, and the in-store dispensers. Thank you for sharing all you coupon knowledge.
  • Jenny,

You do so much on this blog, travel to do workshops, now uploading tutorials. All for free!! (or a very reasonable price...speaking of your workshops)

Is your blog monetized somehow? I hope that this is not just a service to the blogosphere that will eventually burn you out!!

I love your blog and have saved a ton of money. I am inconsistent due to being poorly organized, but I am trying to use the approach you suggested at the workshop you did in Mufreesboro.

Thanks for all you do! You rock!!

Jenny, I have been coming to your site for about six weeks now but have never commented before. You have saved me over half of my grocery bill. I love the tutorials. I am still learning so they are a huge help to me. Thank you so much for the great work you do.
