Publix Weekly Ad 1/6-1/12 or 1/7-1/13

Here is your long list of Publix deals starting Wednesday 1/6 or Thursday 1/7 depending on your area. This week the ad has a new addition that we are going to more of every week. I haven’t decided my take on them yet… I have added a lot of deals from the current Green Advantage Buy Flyer. It doesn’t have any sale deals, but has a lot of coupons - so consider it a coupon booklet and grab one.

I will post the Penny Item first thing in the morning. You will need to buy a paper to get the coupon. Remember the Penny Item will be one day, and will run the first day of the new ad for your area.

Remember:

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price **
2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon)
4. You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item
5. Most Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are.50¢ or less **

  • The date that the new ads start depend on your location. In my town the new sales start on Wednesdays and end on Tuesdays. Jenny posts the sales and deals for publix and bi-lo on tuesday night. It may be late for the bi-lo one, but she usually has publix up by 10 pm. I hope this helps.

  • Just a heads up for those of you buying the Benevia juice drinks:

    I bought 4 boxes last time this deal was going on but I didn't have the green advantage coupons just the $5 off printable. I opened one pack and put them in the fridge. When I went to try one there was white stuff growing on the inside of the lid and floating in the juice. I threw the whole pack away which was stupid but still had 3 packs left. I looked threw the box and saw that all of them had it. I got the yellow box of like pineapple so the other ones might be fine but just make sure you look. I took 3 of them back and I couldn't find my reciept and they gave me a gift card for the 3 packs.

    I bought over $150 worth of groceries that night and used my coupons, Walgreens RR, and gift card and payed $0.82!

    Hi I am in the greenville sc area and none of my publix accept very many competitor Q they only accept major GROCERY like foodlion bilo and target if it says MQ on it but not if it says TARGET WEB. If any one knows of any that do or how I can resolve this it would be greatly appreciated. They used to take my cvs I am not sure what happened. Thanks and God Bless!

    The upstate stores were losing a lot of money on competitor coups, which they do NOT get any reimbursement for. So all SC Upstate Publix stores refined their coupon policy to only grocery stores in a 5 mile radius to there store (I heard this directly from a manager). The Duncan, SC store, for instance, DOES accept Food Lion competitor coupons, since there is one in Woodruff, SC. And the Fairview Rd. Publix in Simpsonville has been known to accept Target coups in the past, however I feel sure that it was an oversight, and not actual policy allowing that to happen.

Also just to let you guys know i went to kmart and got the Gm cereal for 4/6 and it printed a $2.oo off 5 boxes ofGM cereal from kmart yay!     Went to Publix today and have to say I was quite nice.. The cashier asked for my coupons before she even scanned anything. She took them and spread them out all over the scanning area, then went through each item as she scanned it to make sure the coupon matched.. I have never seen a cashier do this. Of course lately Publix is super weird about the coupons. As she is going through my order verifying that I got exactly the item pictured, the total is coming down.. By the time she did all the coupons(and I just KNEW that she was going to shoot down any overage that may come up) my total was $0.94... I saved 87.54 total.. All in all, it was a good trip and I smiled the whole time even though I think she was being a pain in the booty.. Thanks so much for the tips Jenny!

    I have some that want it that way and some that want them at the end. I rather prefer they do it that way and I can see for sure that each and every one comes off. I just hold the q's and hand them to them as each item that matches comes up. helps it go faster so they don't have to dig through them and I know for sure what should be coming off.

    Just an FYI on the G2 deal (both were on sale at my Publix in Tucker). I tried to stack the 50 cents off man. coupon (which they doubled) with the Publix 55 cents off coupon and it threw the cashier for a loop. Nice lady but said they won't take a coupon if it causes an overage. I told her I didn't want the overage, just free. No dice. So I just used the man. coupon and got $1 off. That still made it a pretty nice deal but I was bummed they wouldn't just let me have it free. Was also bummed that I got the last G2 64 ounce bottle, they only had full-sugar Gatorade left.

    i also found no sale on the lenders bagels. I have never known the sale to vary in my region, but I have only been couponing for a few months.
    I, like many others here, used to plan a portion of my shopping around getting the penny item on Sundays. I normally do shop on Wednesdays also, as it is the first day of our sale so I am okay with that part of the change. I didnt participate last wednesday so I can t say how my store is handling the switch as far as requiring the coupon, but I will say this- the reason the penny item is avaliable is to encourage shoppers to try store brand items and hopefully become loyal to store brand in the future. For a penny, I will happily try any store brand product, and would buy again should I need that item during a time name brand wasnt on sale. But if I have to purchase an additional paper and hunt down a seperate coupon it becomes a little more than I am willing to do for something I dont need. I am okay with this since shopping there saves me so much money anyway.
    That being said- I do understand your frustrations with the switch. Hopefully these bumps in the road will get smoothed over quickly.

    Publix on Dorchester Road will no longer be accepting World Market Coupons. It would be a nice if Publix would announce which coupons it will no longer accept. My husband went there yesterday morning with one of the $10 off a $30 purchase and bought meat. I went later that day and the cashier said in a snippy tone, "As of a few days ago, we are no longer accepting these coupons". I told her very politely that I didn't want the food then and I would be back tomorrow to pick it up with manufacturer coupons.

    I stocked up on dog food this week! I almost skipped that deal since Publix is no longer taking Target coupons and I didn't have a coupon for the food, but decided to go ahead and do it anyways. When I got to the store there was a $2 coupon dispenser for the food AND a $1 dispenser for the treats. I ran to the front and grabbed another weekly ad to get an extra "funny" deal coupon. Spent $23.96 and got 40 lbs Pedigree dog food, 5 cans Pedigree dog food (I had the B2G1 coupon - if I had another one of those I would have gotten one more free can!) and 2 bags of treats. My dog is happy and so am I!

    Also just FYI, I thought you had to clip those coupons for the "funny deals" but I asked at the register and the cashier told me you don't have to have them to get the deals.

    Some help please. I have done this for several weeks now, and Publix has never raised an eyebrow until tonight.

    Scenario: Buy 3 boxes of cereal (BOGO), and use 3 1$/3 coupons. Getting one dollar off of each box.

    I have been doing this since I started couponing, and no cashier has said a word to me about this. Have I been wrong from the beginning and just not know it? Was I only allowed to use 1 of the 1$/3 coupons? I was going to use the same concept tonight when buying yogurt and crescent rolls, but the cashier and manager told me that I couldn't. Since this is the first time I have ever had trouble, I figured I would ask some of the pro's for advice.

    $1/3 means exactly that $1.00 off the purchase of 3 boxes of cereal. To use three of those coupons you should have purchased 9 boxes of cereal.

    Does anyone else have problems with that stupid coupon printer program? I install it and then it sometimes prints SOME of the coupons and then when I try to print more (in the same session) it tells me to install the program! I install the program AGAIN and then it goes on this insane cycle of telling me the coupon printer was successfully installed only to tell me I need to install the program when I hit print! I HATE IT!!! I love saving money with this site, but I get to the point where I'd rather just spend the extra money rather than fight with that stupid program. I know it isn't my computer because I have the same issue with my laptop as well as when I used a friends computer. Any suggestions?

    Publix will not accept Target coupons. I had two Target coupons for $1 off Lean Cuisines and the cashier threw them back at me and said they did not accept them. I told him they did last week and he asked the manager who said they did not consider Target a competitor. I explained that they accepted the coupons last week and that Target sells Lean Cuisines, but they refused to accept the coupons and said the cashier who accepted the coupons last week would have gotten in trouble for taking them. The managers said it was a corporate policy. Good news is I can still use my coupons at Target and generally Lean Cuisines are cheaper there. They just don't have a great selection.

    I just wanted to let everyone who goes to the Knightsville Publix that the manager told me that the day the Green advantage coupon booklets came out, a few "select" couponers came in and took stacks and depleted their supply. Please don't do this, it's not fair to everyone, including non-couponers. It just makes us look bad.

    Just to let anyone in the Panama City, Florida area know, publix no longer accepts harveys, food lion, world market, rite aid, or anyone who's not local as competitors. I found out while in check-out last week, I lost out on 60 dollars of savings!(still saved 107 dollars of the bill)We used to have it so good, they accepted everything, but the cashier said they had several people abusing the policy (making photo copies of coupons, using the wrong comp. coupons, ect.). It makes me sad people do these things and make the honest couponers like myself feel like we're doing something wrong when we have coupons. But they'll still accept anyone else who sells groceries in the area's coupons. : )

    Has anyone had problems at the Publix in Montgomery, Dalraida store.
    I went yesterday, and it was AWFUL. I usually shop at the one in Prattville. The little girl checking me out would not take over half my coupons, saying I could only use 1 per item. I had the Juciy Juice Target coupon and the man. coupon I bought 2 jucies, $1/1 Target (2)
    $1/2 Man (1)
    She would only take 1 Target coupon and would not take my manufacuter coupon
    Then on the peanut butter she would not take my all you coupon
    I asked for a manager and she was awful also, she even had to ask a BAGGER if they would take a certain coupon! As I was about to lose my patience and my tounge, she then ask the bagger to take out my toliet paper to make sure I bought the double rolls! I don't know if it was just this 1 cashier or if they are getting this way. I did her the manager say as of MONDAY no more Target coupons!
    Just thought I would give a heads up, if you are like me, I go with a rough idea of how much I am going to spend and then you wind up spend way more because they won't take your coupons.
    I know they don't have to take competitor coupons, and that is fine, but she was RUDE, and wouldn't take have my manufactuer coupons also!
    It took 30 minutes I kid you not to check out, and I didn't have that much!
    If this is normal for them now please let me know.

    That's the only one I haven't shopped at. My favorite store is the one on Zelda Rd. I rarely have problems there. I find that most cashiers around here don't know anything about coupons, so I try to stay away from the Target, CVS, Rite Aid,etc. Just stick with the Winn Dixie competitor q's and you should be fine.

    The best store to get W/D q's is the one on Carter Hill Rd. Register 5.

    The Sundown Vitamins are great for overage if your store allows. Used 1 publix cpn $6 off 2 + a $3 off 2 mq. purchased vit a $3.29 and B Complex $3.99= $7.28 with $1.72 overage. Used the overage on 1 pk Publix boneless skinless chicken $2.55 Total= $9.83 after cpns pd $.83! Did this deal twice, plan to do again!

  • I'm not a happy girl. DH was out this morning so he went to Publix for me so I wouldn't have to drive in the snow. He bought almost $20 of extra stuff even though I reminded him not to deviate from my list and to stick to the quantities. Then, I had a bunch of coupons for Kellog's and the cashier would not take the $5 off 4 from Target, said it was a manuf. coupon. That's fine (I haven't been able to verify, DH left the coupon in his car and it's cold!), but she didn't ask him which coupons he wanted to use out of the pile of coupons, and of course he didn't know to tell her to take out one of the coupons for $1.50/2 or $1/2. I haven't called the store yet, part of me doesn't want to offend but I think she should not have been the one to decide which coupon to apply!

    20 for $10 really means that they are $0.50 regardless of how many you buy. They use the wording to encourage you to buy more. So if granola bars are 2 for $5 you could get 1 for $2.50 with no problem.

    You just don't want it to rpint directly to printer

    Mine did that and it DROVE ME CRAZY trying to figure it out! I wanted my coupons (LOL)

    This is basically correct, except you don't right click as many times as you say. You should only right click one time, and that's when clicking on the printer to open up the box that allows you to select properties. All other clicks should be normal.

    On last weeks sale(yesterday in my area) the regenerist washes and facial wipes were each $6.99 -$3.00 on sale = 3.99 each - $1.00 Q = 2.99 each. My total spent was $6.00, and I get a $15.00 rebate. Look for the tubes of wash or the pack of facial wipes.

    look where the travel size items are or look under the actual pharmacy counter. you may have to ask the pharmacist where they are. they are not the large first aid kits. they are the small travel first aid kits. at my publix they were $1.47 and I used the $1 q from the paper and the $2 q from the green advantage booklet. Got 4 kits and made $1.53 on each.

    I just have a couple of rain check comments.. The rain checks from my Publix now say must be used within 30 days. Is that what everyone else has, too? I thought that rain checks weren't supposed to expire, but I guess that is changing.

    Also, often now when I request a rain check, I have to wait for them to check in the back to see if they have any more of that item. But, I have never yet had them actually find one. When I went a couple days ago, the lady at the customer service counter called some stock boy up to the counter to ask him about it. He then had to go to the back for a really long time before he finally called up to the front to say they were all out of it (which I could have told her would happen). It was at least 10 awkward minutes of just standing there (with small children in tow) waiting to hear something!

    as far as rain checks go I just have to say that I am very impressed with Publix. Every time that I go they ACTUALLY have all items in stock which just blows me away because at the other store I go to you can be sure that if it's on sale then they are out of it and you have no choice but to get a rain check. Now there were a couple of times I didn't see the item I wanted on the shelf but an employee was always handy and more than happy to get the items for me. So i have to say that I am very pleased with the item availability at Publix. I have only had to get 1 rain check but they gave it to me no problem. They knew that they were out of the item and had the rain checks ready at the register. Now that's service!

    I work at Publix, and a lot of people take advantage of rain checks, saying we are out of the items when we really aren't. We have have to check because we are not allowed to issue rain checks for merchandise we have in stock. Sometimes, the truck has just come in within the past two hours and the stock clerks are still getting product put out.

    Yep this is a fairly recent change. I have one old one and you can tell they just added a line to say they expire in 30 days. Sucks, but I can understand why they did that.

    I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago with the rain check. It is rather awkward, but I just made a joke about it, I also had an employee standing around with me with the cart to take the groceries out with me. I think it must be something they have just implemented because so many people where abusing the sales/coupons.

    Can someone help me out? I have two questions. First - my coupon for the Aleve has to be 40-ct or higher, so it can't be used for the $3.55 deal. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Second - I printed the coupon for the $2/2 Nabisco product for the teddy grahams, graham crackers, or ritz bites. The coupon says for a Nabisco cracker product. Will this work for the teddy grahams? I guess I consider these more of a cookie, but I am hoping the coupon will work! Won't it work for the graham crackers?

    Yes, you can use the $2/2 coupon for teddy grahams. Also, these are a participating product for the "Keep The Jingle In Your Holiday rebate(12/1/09 thru 1/31/10). Buy 10 products get a $10 rebate.

    I don't think the $10 rebate will work on the Teddygrahams. They are not pictured on the rebate form and the form says when you buy any 10 participating items and the TeddyGrahams are not shown as one of the 10. Plus on the box, TeddyGrahams are listed as snacks not crackers. Nice try though.

    It depends - you will have to check with your Publix. I have 3 Publix stores near me. Two of them won't accept CVS, but they did accept the Rite Aid. The other store accepts both. If your Publix will accept CVS and Rite Aid coupons, then they will accept the $5/$25 coupon.

    There is a blinkie at our Publix by the Egg Beaters for $1/1. Also, I found small, travel size first aid kits tonight (Johnson and Johnson) which were $1.47 each. The coupons I had from the paper were for $1 off one Johnsons first aid product. The coupons from the Green Advantage Flyer were for $2 off two products or off of one first aid kit. I used 4 of each coupon, got 4 of the first aid kits, and made $6.12 in the deal. That paid for my 2 non-coupon items on this trip - and the kits are the perfect size for my purse and the glove box in my car!

    I have a question regarding the SmartSource Egg Beaters coupons. I went in and tried to print two coupons. They both printed with the same barcode. The offer ID# and the pin# were different. The other day I had this problem at Publix with my Betty Crocker coupons I printed. They told me they couldn't take them because it had the same barcode. So, just wondering if the barcode is the same but the pin and offer ID# are different if it should still be ok. Trying to be legit but hate running into problems at the store. Thanks!

    Yeah, I think all the barcodes are the same if they are the same coupon. What matters is the pin number on the left hand side.

    Sometimes when I have that problem, you can change the "vg" in the address bar to "vi" and it will work for me...Worth a try!

    They are advertised as 4/$10 in the ad so I think her putting $1.25 was a miscalculation or a typo. However, when you use the $1/1, it brings them down to $1.50 each. I got a few last night to try (200 calorie).

    Supposedly at Publix if an item rings up the wrong price, you get it free. That's what one cashier told me a few weeks ago when I started shopping there. I hope you got yours free! I'd rather them ring up wrong and get them free! haha

But you might want to check your Kroger mailer- it either came out in the paper or it came through the mail. I just can't remember. Anyways, I have $2 off any Sundown Naturals Vitamin/Supplement product which used with the Publix Green adv. coupon would make them FREE instead of having to print the $3/2 coupon Jenny listed.

Recently, they took all the coupon inserts and put them behind the counter and you can't find hardly any blinkies or coupon books lying around anymore. They will give you the fliers if you ask, but they don't act like they want to. I didn't have a ton of coupons today when I checked out. I had 16. But I swear it took me 10 mins for her to look through them. I am very honest when I coupon, and I have shopped at that one store for years. Really bothers me. They have made me feel like I'm stealing. Really considering changing stores.

    I have always used coupons, but just started doing serious couponing about a month ago. I alternate between two Publix near me, so I'm not blacklisted for using all my coupons. Today, I went to the Publix on Richard D Sailors. The cashier scrutinized all coupons that were B1G1 types from the internet as well as their Baby Club coupons. I had two small children with me, while it took him almost 10 minutes to go through my coupons. Fortunately, the youngest was sleeping, and there was no one behind me or I would have probably been very frustrated. He could have scanned the screen in front of him to see that I had bought 2 boxes of nursing pads, therefore I could use the B1G1 Baby Club coupon. Instead, he asked me if I bought each item and wanted me to fish around through the bags to produce it so that he could scan off the price instead of looking it up manually. Oy! It was still worth the time, though. $142 worth of groceries for $58!

    The cashier was so nervous in looking over my Q which by the way was the store Q for the Benevia Pak where they gives you 4.00 and manuf coupon gives you 5.00 well the MANAGER came over loudly which made the three people behind me jump out of lane as though i was being arrested for using a store coupon lol anyway she screamed you CANT HAVE OVERAGE THE DRINKS ARE 8.99 AND YOU HAVE A TOTAL OF 9.00 IN COUPONS. Ok i said and she made the cashier delete the coupons to change the store coupon to only give me 3.99 as opposed to 4.00 all i could say was REALLY a penny in overage i didnt know i was committing a crime in getting overage for .01. she continued to scream well the cashier said my total was 7.23 so i handed her the change portion and she dropped the penny. The cashier was very nervous since the mngr was still standing there... and like she was doing me or the store a favor she told the cashier dont worry about the penny.....so I just had to say something since she was so rude to me " oh no a penny we must find the penny we wouldnt just want to give a way a penny would we since i couldnt have a .01 overage. the cashier was laughing and few other customers too well the MANAGER was not happy.

    but guess what I actually got the last laugh the drinks were 8.49 not 8.99 so you know what MS MANAGER you gave me .50 OVERAGE... LOL LOL all the way out the store.

    I shop at that Publix all the time, and usually have great service. Which manager was it? I've only had problems with one, so I'm guessing it's her. I NEVER go through a line anywhere close to her. She's rude & likes to be bossy. The cashiers don't seem to like her, either. (Maybe early 20s, strawberry-blondish hair always pulled back in a pony tail? I don't know her name, but I should look.) I just want to make sure, so that I know to keep my eye on her. :-) I love most of the cashiers in there. I purposely go through the lines with Sue, Luz, & a few others who are always so nice. I like the male manager--gray hair, super friendly--he's usually there during the day. He's never given me any problems.

Back in the fall, I went in there to buy 12 buttermilk pancake mixes and the cashier called the store manager over to ask him if they were allowed to sell that many. ;] Is there a Publix in Stone Mountain?

So, when combined with the $1.00 mfg coupon, you will actually get 2 items for $.50 each, rather than free. Still a good deal.

    My sister-in-law has used the one at the McCalla exit and says they are very coupon friendly and take Target. I use the one in Pelham and they have always taken my Target coupons and Rite Aid and CVS $5 off purchase coupons (only one per visit though) and the cashier I use is very coupon knowledgable and very friendly!! There is one I always avoid. But the Red-headed lady, one of the guys, and the lady with the curly hair are all very nice.

    Bryan is my favorite cashier. He is very coupon friendly. This afternoon, the lady bagging my groceries told him they do not accept the $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupons. He told her they used to not but they do now. I also told her that the manager said as long as I got something from the pharmacy area they would take it (I got the first aid kit free). She kept shaking her head but he told her how it was. HE IS MY FAV!! He also lets me use more than 1 Target q of the same item. Bought 3 Lean Cuisines using man q along with 3 of the $1 Target q's...same type thing with the Juicy Juice.

I would bet that the publix on valleydale will take rite aid q's since they're across the street, but i've never asked since i dont ever go to that one.

    Just got back from my weekly Publix trip and wanted to share a few things I found...
    -- The first-aid kit was a little tough to find at mine. I finally found it tucked away on the wall under the pharmacy counter with the travel medications. It was worth the hunt for the $1.51 overage!
    -- I found several different types of the Sun Down Naturals that were only $3.99 a bottle. For every 2 bottles you buy and use with the coupons she mentions, it will give you $1.02 overage!!!
    -- Also, my Publix (Chalkville, AL), or should I say, my cashier, because we all know what a difference that can make, did not require me to have the coupon from the newspaper to get the penny item.

    I just want to post my shopping experience today at one of the Publix's in our town. This is the first time that they became strict about coupons. I bought 2 Juicy Juice-64 oz and 2 Johnson's first aid items. I have 1 manuf. coupon for $2/2 and 2 competitor's coupons for $1/1. They only took 1 manuf. and 1 competitor's coupons for the 2 Juicy Juice. Same thing for the Johnson's products. Unlike before, thay let me use 1 manuf. & 1 store coupons for every item that I bought; buy about 5-6 of the same product in one transaction. But not today. Thay said, only one deal per coupon per customer/limit one offer per transaction. Oh well, I saved 81%. I am still happy. Thanks a lot Jenny.

    They are Publix booklets that come out every couple of weeks. They usually have them on display right when you walk in the store. If you don't find them, ask customer service and they'll give you some. HTH

    Hi Heather! The Advantage Buy Flyers are located in the kiosks at the front entrance, or you should be able to pick them up at the Customer Service Desk. There are 2: Yellow and Green. Yellow pertains to grocery items and some household items while the Green flyer plays host to personal care items. They usually contain a combination of store and manufacturer coupons! Good luck!!

    I was going to do this but the way I was figuring it was to use 1 harveys $2/2 and 2 target $0.50/1 as you are only suppossed to use one competitor coupon per item. The harveys is for 2 plus 2 targets equals 4 and you are purchasing 4.

I would almost argue that since it is a "store coupon" that the one per transaction is a Target rule and does not apply when using it as a competitor coupon at another store...but I would not argue if they began limiting it. We get such bargains with all other coupons, that I would probably feel guilty trying to argue that. :) I actually try to not use too many Target coupons if possible.

    You can only use 1 competitor per item-you can't use 2 different competitors...

    We don't have Harvey's or Bi-Lo here, so Target is really the only major competitor coupons I am able to use. Occassionally a Rite Aid coupon will come up, but sometimes they consider those manuf coupons because they say that even though they don't relly have a barcode on them.

    The penny item is certainly inconvenient, but I think a lot of people are forgetting something: Publix is a business. They probably did this because they were losing money. They are not here to give us free groceries, they're here to make money. I'm just glad they are so much nicer than everyone else while they do it.

    I'm lucky - I don't have kids to worry about, so going on my way home around 7 PM on Wednesdays won't be too much of a hardship. But the last thing I'll ever do is complain about the fact that they have a penny product.

    First of all, thank you for all your hard work. Your article in Sunday's paper was nice. I just wanted to point out that the Publix stores in Columbia do not accept Target coupons. It keeps biting me! I talked to the store manager at the store on #6 and she confirmed. This store also did not have any of the vendor coupons or tear offs. I still saved almost exactly what I spend so the trip was worthwile. Thanks again.

    They took them in North Charleston on Ashley Phosphate/Dorchester Road intersection...but they are getting more selective. On World Market coupons, they are only taking it if you have NO other coupons of any kind, including manufacturer's. AND it has to be a separate day from using any competitor's coupons. Only good if you want to get meat, produce, or stuff you really need but don't have coupon for. They also are not letting you split your orders up and use $5 off competitor's coupons on each order-just the one.

    You should be able to print two off the Target website, try refreshing your screen to see if it is there. Stores will not take copies or scanned coupons.

    This is actually a re-post since I posted on Bi-Lo's ad page accidentally. Not even a month into the new year...

    Okay, after reading yesterday’s post on how to use coupons and not rob stores of their reimbursements in regards to misuse of coupons or fraud, I was very cautious at my morning trip to Publix.
    I did not end up using the $5 Sudafed coupon for the deal since the coupon specified 36 ct. Triple Action Sudafed (behind Pharmacy counter at $14.99) and Publix has the Sudafed Triple Action PE 24 ct. on sale for something like $6.99 so I didn’t get it since the count didn’t match coupon specifications. Was about to do the First Aid Tape and I also noticed the Publix coupon states you must buy 2 of J&J items if buying tape or gauze. But since the Tape was priced at 1.79, there was still overage for buying 2 and using 2 man. + 1 store coupon.

    All in all a good trip. ($3.22 OOP) Still came home with 2 egg beaters, 2 Bumble Bee pouch tuna’s, 2 J&J tapes as well as 2 cool whips. Lunch is tuna salad today so that worked out nicely.

    Well, I was able to use the $5 coupon but it was a HASSLE. I didn't mind having to give my drivers license and all that, but I didn't realize I would have to check out there in the pharmacy. So I went and got a few things (2 First Aid Kits, 2 Vitamin D Sundown Naturals and some Dawn Direct Foam). I had store coupons for everything except the Dawn and manufacturer coupons for everything. So the lady ringing me up didn't know you could stack store and manu coupons together. Then, it she kept needed an override because I had more coupons than items. The pharmacist was totally giving me attitude about it. Then when she input my $5.00 coupon and my total was only $2.28 she called customer service and said she wanted them to go over everything so they wouldn't get in trouble. That is totally fine, but they made me wait (with a baby who started crying) for like ten minutes and a line was forming behind me (which made me feel bad). Of course everything checked out and I don't mind peole not wanting to get in trouble, BUT I could do without the attitude. She even said "I don't have time for this." It isn't my fault that I had to check out there...and if I had known beforehand I likely would have changed my shopping scenario. Still worth it in the end!

    If you live in FL, then yes you will only be paying for one and getting three free. As for the other coupon, that might be up to your individual store.

    Publix doesn't have a true B1/G1 sale - these items are actually marked to half price. So you will be charged half price for the two you buy, and can get one more free with that coupon. You should be able to use two manufacturers coupons along with the B2/G1 coupon - just make sure you have more items than coupons when you check out!

    Depends on where you live. Publix in FL is a true BOGO -- one rings up full price, the other as $0. However, even in FL, I have never had a problem using one manu Q for each item on BOGOs.

    yes, ask customer service the next time your in if they have the new green advantage flyer or you can check at the front of your store, the coupons are in there.

    The flyer also came in our paper (AJC) on Sunday with the rest of the inserts.

    If you live in FL, you would get 4. You would only pay for one, the coupon pays for the second one you would "pay" for, and then the bogo deals pay for the other two.

    Actually, you would get five if you live in Florida. The sale is buy one, get one - You actually have to purchase two in order to get the third free with the coupon. So it would look like this:

    Buy one - get one free
    Buy second one - get one free
    Get the fifth one free with the coupon (Buy 2 get 1 out of the All You magazine)

    I am so glad that I live in Georgia where I don't have to think about the buy one get one offers! I absolutely love the half off strategy!

    You would only buy four. No need to buy an extra jar for nothing. You would buy one, get one free. The coupon would pay for the third one, and the fourth one's automatically free.

    You'll get four in FL. All of the stores around here consider a mfg Q for a free item as payment for the "buy one" part of a BOGO deal. Then they give you one free. The manufacturer sees a BOGO deal as you purchasing two items. For this transaction, you'll "purchase" two jars (paying $2.35 for #1 and $0 for #2), then the Q will pay $2.35 for #3. The store, then, will give you #4 for $0.

    You would get 3. The store is giving you one for free and the coupon is giving you one for free. You pay for one. RIGHT???

    Because Publix does not require you buy 2 for BOGO, you only need to buy three. At my Publix, the peanut butter rang up for $1.18 each or 2/$2.35.With the B2G1 coupon, you can get all three for $2.35. They will each ring up for $1.18 and the coupon will take off $1.18 for the free one.

    FYI - The Stoneyfield Farms organics Qs are only good for 10 days. I was going to print the whole list until I saw that they come out like that. Now I've hit cancel so many times on my printer that it's driving me CRAZY! Also, they come out 2 to a sheet (centered), which is a bit of a waste of paper, in my humble opinion. It's fine, though, I'm HAPPY to have the Qs that I got! I just wanted to let you all know for planning purposes. Happy shopping!

So basically, I have to read through the ad, plan my list, gather all my coupons, go BUY a different paper (even though the weekly sales flyer already showed up at my house in our weekly city paper without a coupon), and then take my two small children to Publix on a Wed. just to save a couple of bucks on a store brand bag of chips? I love Publix, but this does not fit their usual kind of service.

    You may not need the coupon if your store works like mine. I forgot my penny item coupon once, and they said not to worry about it. They said if you ever leave it at home, all you have to do generally is ask the cashier and they will give it to you anyway. Sometimes, mine even offers it without me even asking. Try it next time.

    I see what you're saying. I for one will most likely not be participating in the penny item anymore. At least not on a weekly basis. But I am really bummed about it. It was fun to try out new things and the store brand for just a penny. And it does defeat the purpose of a penny item if you have to buy a paper only for that. I don't even have the option to subscribe to a paper that carries the Publix ad. I wish that they would take away the coupon and just have the stipulation that you have to spend $10 before coupons.

I think you (and I) should be happy that most of the Publix still take competitor coupons and still do great B1G1 deals and allow lots of things most other stores don't do. WE should all be very appreciative for what they DO for us.

As far as finding all the special coupon books, tearpads, etc., some are located at the SD, turnstile, or I have found some near the Out of Area paper cabinet. I have also asked the SD personnel and they haven't put out yet or the vendor rep hasn't brought it.

    The $1.49 kit is the travel size one. It was not with the other kits but with the travel size stuff alongside the pharmacy wall of my Publix. The coupon says "any J & J kit" which I had to point out when my cashier questioned it.

    The $1.49 sale for J&J First Aid kit did not show up in my sale ad anywhere, but I was gonna try the deal anyway, so I went to the store twice and looked everywhere and could not find them. Finally I talked to a manager, and he looked everywhere then they got the GM and he looked everywhere, and they were nowhere to be found, so they are special ordering them, which is great and wonderful but if they are more than $1.50 or $2 then the deal won't be great for me.

    Does anyone know if the Publix in Ooltewah TN has a limit on how many competitor coupons you can use per transaction?

    I just know that you can only use one competitor coupon per item (you can't buy 2 juicy juices and use 2 target coupons). Hope that answers your question.

    I found the Digiorno Q under 36093 as well (and just now). They're not gone. Maybe those of you who can't find it have already printed it some time ago and just forgot? Try another computer if you have access to one. Or, maybe it was temporarily not available and now it is. At any rate...got mine! Best of luck to you all as well!

    For the B1G1 Juicy Juice can you use the $1/2 manufacturer w/Target logo and 2 $1 Target store coupon? If so that would make it .65 for 3 of them.

    Okay, I went to Publix tonight, intending to try to split up my JJ transactions in order to use 3 target coupons, however, the manager said no, one only, I am asusming that I could have pushed the issue by checking out and then going back in and standing in line again, but Publix is so good about taking q's I am just happy they had the bogo, and let me use 1 target q, and I had 2 JJ Q's. I am new at this so every trip is a learning experience.

    My publix will take target coupons BUT the cashier the time I did this said only ONE competitor coupon for like items, I was buying the swiss miss cocoa Bogo, with 2 target $1Q and she would only accept one of the q's.
    This was at the Ooletewah store.

    Does the Johnson's Beauty for all Ages rebate have to be on one receipt? It doesn't say that specifically on the form, but it does say to send your "receipt" (singular). I think I could do pretty well with this if I can split it up between different stores throughout the month, but I'm not going to buy $30 of this stuff from one ad and with one set of coupons.

    Did you find out about this yet? I was going to try to find a phone number to call for more info. Sometimes with these rebates there is a number you can call. I wanted to do two stores too. Btwn Publix(Aveneno Baby) and Walgreens.

    The coupon states that it is also good for $3 off Goodnites, 21-27ct. Goodnites are 15.99 at my Publix. I used the $3 in ad coupon with a $1 printable manufacturer coupon that I got for registering on the Goodnites website. These rarely have coupons, so I was glad to get a big pack for less than $12!!

    I have a ton of the $1 off digiorno 200 cal pizza coupons but the sale for my area was not was is listed here. I was totally bummed!! I'm in the Nashville, TN area, and the digiorno sale is 4/$10.

    Same here in the Atlanta area. I didn't notice the different price, and wondered why my bill was higher than expected. I thought I was going to pay .25 per pizza, but instead I paid 1.50. Big difference since I bought ten of them!

    The new Publix Penny Item coupon makes me sad because it is actually IN THE PAPER. I can take whatever coupons I want from inserts in the paper from the law school, but I cannot cut a coupon out of the paper itself... I was hoping they were going to post the regular flyer the penny item coupon normally comes in only doing it in Wednesday's Paper rather than Sundays.

    There was a Propel water 6-pack (500ml) printable on Target's website a week or two ago. I was only able to print out one and it expires on 1/13.

    Make sure to call the particular Publix you frequent. I called mine this morning and they said the coupon was not in Wednesday's paper or the flyer this week but that it would only be in the Wednesday paper in the future. When I said that's too bad I only get the Sunday paper the customer service rep said to go to the customer service desk and they would give me a coupon. The coupon would be required though to get the deal.

    It was in a Smart Source Insert, the one with the $2.50 off Finish. It was a full 2 pages of Publix coupons. It also had a q for the the Diner's choice mashed potatoes. It wasn't listed in Jenny's preview, so it may be regional.

    I went to Publix tonight and got 2 Bayer aspirin for .30 using the $5 publix Q. The 81 mg ASA are around 2.50-2.65. Also did the first aid tape deal but cashier adjusted price not allowing for overage:(

    i live in the prattville/millbrook area and i had one in my magazine, it is a thick paper insert in the middle almost like a booklet.

    If you look on the index, you won't see some of the coupons. Mine were in the special ConAgra section in the middle. I thought I didn't have the coupons either, but then I remembered I found them there before.

    I got one free all you magazine in the mail. It did not have the Peter Pan coupon. But, I bought another one in Northwestern Alabama when I visited my family, and it had one of those coupons. The coupon came inside a separate insert stapled inside the magazine.

    I've seen on a couple sites that the subscription version doesn't have the coupons, but the newstand version does. I bought mine at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago in Metro Atlanta and I have the coupons.

    I bought a All You in Calera Alabama and it had the coupons in the back on thick white paper. Maybe someone took yours out like sometimes when I buy a paper there are no coupon inserts because someone stole them. I always check now before I buy the paper.

    I bought two copies this month to get these coupons - the one I get as a subscription did not include all the B2/G1 coupons, or the Marie Callender/Healthy Choice coupons/rebate. Very disappointed that the one I get delivered doesn't have all the coupons -especially the high value ones!
