Last week I thought we would try and see how many facebook fans we could get.  I knew you guys could hit 2000 in a week, but never expected that you would do it in less than 14 hrs!  The giveaway went through last night and at that point we had over 6700 fans!!!  I am amazed.

      You have to blame my husband who worked very hard at being random with it.

      I was at least hoping for one guy but according to facebook stats I had a slim chance. Only 5% off 6800 fans are guys!! You need to start recruiting friends to join you.

        I am one of the 5%… I do most of the grocery shopping and couponing for our family… is that odd? My wife did some couponing when we first got married but I was not all that into it until I learned how to save more than a couple bucks through couponing from you. I guess guys require doing things on a large scale to be interested… lol.

          lol EWWWWW competition anton? you know the ladies won’t go for that. As per my previous note to all who read i am happily married just in case you think uhoh jenny got a stalker. and come next year may 11th i am gonna have to get her a special gift. Last year i got her “24 carrots cold” thought that was what she ask for but my hearing must be going.

        We maybe a vast minority, however my wife’s rather happy….and I think for guys to get interested in coupons it is go big or go home.

        Publix Today-

        Total Bill: $201.65
        Total Paid (-Rebates): 37.22!

        The 2 couples behind me were glaring the entire time….till the cashier read my total, HA

        By the way, I think I’m going to have to build a new pantry now…

          Way to go!!! I love hearing savings like this! My son also does all the shopping and like you, he gets the looks until the total is rung up minus the coupons! There has been many times when the store would have owed him money. Now when the kids go with him, he’s getting them in on the act. It makes me feel good that all those times I took him and his sister with me and they were “in charge” of holding the coupons and finding the corresponding items paid off!
          PS-Love the quip about the pantry too. What better reason to build one than to be able to fill it!

    Hey cool, April is from Montgomery just like me! Always good to see a winner from yourown town… would have been nicer if it had been me, but hey since I did not even know this drawing was going on I had no expectations going into it… lol.

    Love it. Way to go guys. No, like, the real guys… Glad there are guys out there who are doing it. Had a gentleman from New York now living in AL congratulate me a few months back. And yes, I sometimes get glares, but they end up with their mouth open when they see how much I saved and how much I pay.

    TIP: I now tell people who get behind me in line that it will take the cashier a LONG time to go thru my coupons and they might want to find a different lane (said in a nice way, not in the sense of “take a hike”). They usually appreciate it. Some stay anyway. But at least I warned them. :)
