I just paid $22.87 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I did the rebate back when Pizza by the Slice had “try it free!” rebates on the box. I sent it with the receipt and then got a note back from the company saying the receipt hadn't been included and I wouldn't get my rebate unless I submitted it. I was so disappointed! I know that I sent the receipt because I file all my receipts and it wasn't in my file. I wrote to Freschetta and they sent a low-value 50 cents off two coupon that was not anywhere near the rebate amount. I feel like getting a free slice would be an awesome way to make me feel better about this product, but now I don't trust them. Does this happen a lot with rebates, or was it maybe just a fluke?

Yep, rebates can be a gamble. Prevacid sent me a check for $.99 on a full satisfaction guarantee rebate because I had used ECBs and a gift card to pay for a bunch of stuff and my OOP was $.99 at the end of the receipt. Called them and they defended it tooth and nail. I asked for them to return my receipt so I can get a full refund from the store. They were stumped. Teehee. Of course, no receipt back.

Oh dear! At least you weren't out too much from the original transaction, but it is so frustrating that they wouldn't honor the promise of their guarantee.

I just noticed the same thing with walg meter rebate-before i sent it in -pd with rr-but reciept shows o -so will take to store for refund-do they think a rr isn't money? could have used the meter-oh well

The exact same thing happened to me. Was sent a note back saying I didn't include the receipt even though I did. Oh well.

Hmm…sorry to hear you lost out on this, too, but maybe it wasn't just me. I explained to them when I wrote in that this was really affecting my interest in their products. I used to buy Freschetta a lot! I guess one consumer doesn't matter. I didn't even like the by-the-slice as much as the bigger pizzas! Oh well is right. When rebates do work out, it is a great thing!

It says “enter your email address” and there is no link to do it. So I guess it won't send a reminder anymore. I'll just have to try to remember to try to get it on Thursday.
