Summer is drawing to a close, which means the rhythms of your family life are probably changing! For me, that does mean changes in some areas, but I also still definitely stick with meal planning. So many things start up in August—sports practices, other activities, school—so having a plan is key in order to stay on top of things and not feel like the calendar is running our lives. Today I’m sharing 31 straight days of meals to help you get through the back-to-school rush and coast into the fall.
August 2019 Monthly Meal Plan
This month I’m planning to make some of our Southern Savers favorites: slow cooker honey soy roast, crispy chickent thighs, oven hamburgers, and summer vegetable gumbo. I’m also sharing some favorites from other bloggers with a penchant for frugal, simple, delicious recipes. My kids are going to love this cast iron fried chicken, and my husband is going to love this chicken tikka masala.
I hope this monthly meal plan is a help as you plan your own meals. I don’t really expect anyone to follow this exactly, but hopefully it gives you some inspiration as you cook for your family (or just yourself!).
